The NOVATECH ProFIND NT DF is a hand-held direction finder (DF) designed to operate in the most demanding field conditions on land or at sea. 

The receiver is housed in a crush-resistant, safety yellow, glass-filled polyamide housing.  The housing is waterproof to allow continuous use at sea, in rain or snow, and at sub-zero temperatures.

The system consists of a dual-element switched array antenna and a crystal controlled receiver mounted in a crush resistant, waterproof housing. 

The NOVATECH ProFIND NT DF has up to six selectable frequencies.  Four standard frequencies are preset at the factory, and two optional frequencies are user-selectable at the time of manufacture.

Antenna sets are matched to each DF unit at the factory.  If an antenna is lost or broken, the DF unit should be returned to the factory to ensure an optimal match of replacement antennas. The antenna sets are serialized, and the serial number assigned to the antenna set matches the unit serial number.

The ProFIND NT DF is specifically designed to operate with the Novatech Line of RF Beacons.
