Working as part of a small team the Marketing and Design Coordinator will be involved in all aspects of the marketing strategy with a strong focus on design; taking responsibility for producing various types of marketing collateral, communication and ensuring brand consistency across the company.
The successful candidate will have a mix of creative, design and marketing skills and will be a self- motivated and highly organized individual who can manage several projects at once.
Proposal/Presentation Development – Collaborating with sales team to develop the overall layout and production design for advertisements, brochures, magazines, corporate reports, digital and print editorial and production. Assists in the preparation of proposals + qualifications packages in response to RFQs and RFPs. Prepares decks for PowerPoint presentations. Third party vendor management.
Data Management – Responsible for keeping cloud database updated with proposal and marketing information, including all corporate photography and vendor lists.
Website & Social Media Maintenance – Participates in the consistent updating of the company website, LinkedIn page, including posting of news and updating project information.
Advertisement – Develops customized marketing strategies and proposes graphics direction, advertising collateral and product mailings and distribution.
Trade Shows- Travel to various trade shows to meet with vendors and customers to build a stronger rapport and develop leads.
Ad Hoc Projects - Support of various initiatives and special event projects as the need occurs throughout the year
- A post-secondary diploma or degree in Graphic Arts, Design, Business, Marketing and/or relevant experience
- Experience with Content Management Systems such as WordPress or Drupal
- Advanced graphic design skills using one or more of: CS4, InDesign, Illustrator or Photoshop
- Familiarity with SEO/SEM/social media/online marketing
- Proven project management skills
- Proven ability to manage projects with competing priorities and tight timelines
- Strong writing skills
- Strong attention to detail
Considered and Asset:
- Working knowledge of HTML
- Video editing or experience with Flash considered an asset
- Event Planning experience – organizing trade shows and dealing with vendors
- Experience using Google AdWords
- Experience using Google Analytics
- Inbound marketing experience
