Overview

The Air Deployable Polar iSVP is a buoyant, ruggedized, expendable, bi-directional mini weather station and marker buoy. The buoy is ideal for remote and harsh environments and provides significant mission cost savings, with the ability to air deploy. The Air Deployable Polar iSVP features Iridium based bi-directional communications. It was developed to meet the specific needs of the offshore oil industry, ocean freight industry, and the meteorological and oceanographic scientific communities.

Designed to survive multi-year ice, its standard configuration is equipped with barometric pressure, sea surface temperature, and an air temperature sensor.
