Junior Account Manager – Security | Ottawa

Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-driven individual to join our Sales team in Ottawa in the
role of Junior Account Manager, within our Security Business Unit. The successful candidate will be
an integral member of the overall Sales Team, ensuring the long-term success of our customers while
working towards growing business with current clients and potential new clients.
The Junior Account Manager will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with assigned
customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders. You will liaise between
customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our
solutions according to the customers needs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Build and maintain strong relationships through day-to-day management of partners
acting as an advocate for both MetOcean and the customer while balancing the needs of customers
with the needs of the business.
• Deliver revenue objectives for assigned Business Unit.
• Act as a guide and strategic partner to customers by becoming intimately
knowledgeable of their key business challenges.
• Provide information on regional market issues and competition.
• Serve as primary interface between partner and MetOcean departments to resolve
sales, financial and operational issues.

• Responsible for the health of the customer relationship and success for both the
customer and MetOcean.
• Develop customer knowledge in MetOcean products and services.
• Arrange web-based and on-site customer sessions to showcase products and offerings.
• Follow the MetOcean Sales Process with daily updates and opportunity tracking in
Salesforce.
• Participate in weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasting and planning.
• Work closely with other departments to create and maintain the customer database.

What you’ll bring

• College or Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred.
• 2-3 years of client management/relationship experience.
• Technical Aptitude with a passion for Sales.
• Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels of
management.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Extremely self-sufficient and can deliver necessary work with minimal supervision.
• Proficient with MS Applications especially, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Innovative team player.
• Ability to build successful, long-term, and trusted business relationships.
• Familiar with the Salesforce CRM system is an asset.
• Experience selling to security and/or government organizations is considered an
asset.
• Experience with the Iridium Ecosystem would also be highly desirable.
• Available to travel if required.
• Ability to obtain CANADA and NATO security clearance.
